Hair mask
[The purpose of this and any other entries about my hair are to help others looking for info on hair care. I found it difficult to find relevant info to my specific needs so might as well keep a hair journal to keep track of my progress as well as to aid others who seek advice.]
Ok so I've decided to go with one egg, a tablespoon of olive oil, 2 squirts of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of mayo. I've wrapped my neck with an old scarf bc last time I did a mayo mask it dripped down. After doing the best I could to saturate my hair with the mixture I have covered it with a plastic shopping bag. This should trap enough heat to let it work in deep but not enough heat to scramble the egg. I shall wait 30 minutes and rinse *carefully* (my hair is super damaged) with cold/lukewarm water then air dry....
Ok, so after I rinsed it it felt really dry so I washed it and conditioned it. Unhappy with the yellow I saw I decided to go ahead and tone it with the left over toner I had when it was white (It was part of a package I got from Sally's Beauty Supply. I tried to find a pic of the product but no luck)... I liked it white any way. Besides I felt comfortable enough with it's strength to do more so I toned it then shampooed and conditioned it with my John Freida Sheer Blonde products

So after a quick rinse with lukewarm water, I applied some Carrot Oil
(photo courtesy of longhaircareforum.com) and combed it with a wide bristle comb so it lays flat and in the direction I style it. I then wrapped it lightly with a head scarf and am letting it air dry. I have found wrapping it helps it to not frizz out when drying.
Ok so all is said and done and my hair feels much better. I am not afraid of breakage with the slightest touch but it is still sensitive. It lays flat and straight but I do notice some waves/curls around the hair line from moisture contact with washing. The toner did not change the color. Maybe because my stylist used a permanent toner. It was worth a try eh? But so far so good. I will do another treatment in a month. I was told that if I did it too frequently it will cause my hair to be brittle and break.

Blonds have more fun
That was not my reasoning for the change but for the past 3 months I have been a blond.
I went from something like this:

to this:

There was a point somewhere in the middle where it looked like this:

but I was trying to save time by not posting it.. oh well.
Anywhoo. Now I have gone in again and had my roots touched up and my hair is so damaged. Thats what happens when you do an @ home bleaching after the trip to the salon. It will grow out soon (thank god I have short hair!) but in the meanwhile I am obsessing over hair treatments.
I used to do them on my long natural hair so why not with this over processed mop. I have done my reaserch and have a few options but right now it's 4am and super cold in the house so I shall wait till tomorrow and have it working its magic whilst I sketch.
So until then you will have to wait for the specific treatment and the results.

shoulda been born a cartoon....
sigh...
really though. a friend of mine even told me I remind him of one of these guys:

but seeing as I am neither yako, wako, nor dot.... here's the next best thing; a local artist turned me into one years back:

what really has me all in a tizzy is he apparently included that illustration in a coloring book he compiled of a lot of his other characters...!!!??!! yeah. I know. how fucking dope is that??!
and the cherry on this amazing double fudge chocolate chunk cookie dough with brownies sundae?...check it:

utter awesomeness... I know.
Debating whether I should spend $3 and download it or swing by his spot and pick one up...

Vampire fangs
She wouldn't look so creepy if she had eyebrows.... and didn't make that face.... yeah, that one.

It was only a matter of time before this happened. Apparently Twilighters are getting vampire fang veneers made. Score! Next time I have an extra $250 you better believe I'm going out to get these made. Ask anyone close to me; I've always wanted fangs. Ask them again; I have worn fangs in the past....during not Halloween. But these look far more realistic, discrete and stable that the ones I applied with various denture cremes hoping and wishing they wouldn't fall out throughout the day.
