Ok so I've decided to go with one egg, a tablespoon of olive oil, 2 squirts of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of mayo. I've wrapped my neck with an old scarf bc last time I did a mayo mask it dripped down. After doing the best I could to saturate my hair with the mixture I have covered it with a plastic shopping bag. This should trap enough heat to let it work in deep but not enough heat to scramble the egg. I shall wait 30 minutes and rinse *carefully* (my hair is super damaged) with cold/lukewarm water then air dry....
Ok, so after I rinsed it it felt really dry so I washed it and conditioned it. Unhappy with the yellow I saw I decided to go ahead and tone it with the left over toner I had when it was white (It was part of a package I got from Sally's Beauty Supply. I tried to find a pic of the product but no luck)... I liked it white any way. Besides I felt comfortable enough with it's strength to do more so I toned it then shampooed and conditioned it with my John Freida Sheer Blonde products
So after a quick rinse with lukewarm water, I applied some Carrot Oil
Ok so all is said and done and my hair feels much better. I am not afraid of breakage with the slightest touch but it is still sensitive. It lays flat and straight but I do notice some waves/curls around the hair line from moisture contact with washing. The toner did not change the color. Maybe because my stylist used a permanent toner. It was worth a try eh? But so far so good. I will do another treatment in a month. I was told that if I did it too frequently it will cause my hair to be brittle and break.
